I love you. I’m glad I exist.

🍊 Very difficult days. We always like to believe that anything is possible — that if we try hard enough, with enough determination and perseverance, we can achieve anything. At least, that is what we are told. I partly agree, and partly disagree. Love is, without a doubt, the most curious thing in the world. It reveals itself in so many different ways. Not having that person by our side — the person we want most, the person with whom we share everything, the person who is always ready to listen, even when their eyes are saying, ‘I’m tired’, the person we love unconditionally — is one of the most painful things of all. It is a pain that comes from somewhere deep within. It travels through every part of the body, drains us of all our energy and replaces joy with sadness. I have never felt so sad. And then comes that constant thought, or that friend who tells you, ‘You have to be strong. It will pass.’ When, in truth, all it makes you want to say is, ‘Please, be quiet.’ — I think that is only human, isn’t it?
Let me suffer. Let me cry. Let me cry as I make my way to the train. Let me cry during the journey. Let me cry when I hear something — anything at all. Let me cry when I go to bed, when I feel that no one can truly see me and I am surrounded by the darkness of the night. Let me cry. I don't want to move past any of it. If I love someone, why should I have to forget? But I'm glad I exist. At least I know that everything I feel, and every tear I shed, comes from something real.
